  • 1 teaspoon of lime juice

Instructions

1. In a large bowl, combine the beef skin strips with the garlic, cumin, coriander, turmeric, tamarind paste, palm sugar, and salt. Mix until the beef is thoroughly coated. Set aside.

2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef skin strips and fry until they are browned and crispy, about 5 minutes. Remove the beef skin strips from the skillet and set aside.

3. In the same skillet, add the tempeh cubes and fry until they are golden brown and crispy, about 7 minutes. Remove from the heat.

4. To make the sambal sauce, combine the cilantro, basil, and lime juice in a small bowl. Mix until combined. Add the sambal sauce to the skillet and stir to combine.

5. Add the fried beef skin strips and tempeh cubes back to the skillet and stir to combine. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

6. Serve the sambal goreng kulit sapi dan tempe hot with steamed rice or nasi Padang.
